Throughout high school I was blessed to have Mrs. Woods as my teacher for Drama 1 fresh year, Eng 2A soph year & Adv Drama my senior year. Not only was she a teacher and mentor she was practically my school mom. She genuinely cared and would always ask me how I’m doing, how things are at home on a daily basis, making sure I was okay and comforting me through tough times. She taught me all the tools on how to be a sufficient writer and persuasive speaker. On stage she’d kick me out of my comfort zone and gave me the push to get up and perform on stage. Most importantly she helped me discover who I really am, confronting me whenever I disappoint her and noticing my small accomplishments and proceeding to telling me how proud she is of me. I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve cried over her eloquent speeches on the love she has for her students. Tonight when she thanked me for a being a part of the drama program I had to shake my head and cry - thanking her for the amazing drama program and for changing my life! ❤
